One of my favourite drinks from Thailand is a watermelon shake made with fresh fruit rather than the synthetic stuff and tastes all the better for it so I thought I’d share this simple recipe with you all!
Ingredients
- 1-2 kg watermelon
- 500 gms ice
- 2 thirsty people
Preparation
- In a food processor blend the ice until it is finely broken up.
- Chop the red part of the melon. Remove excess seeds, but it isn’t necessary to remove every one.
- Add the melon chunks to the blender.
- Blend a little more until the melon is pureed and well mixed with the ice.
- Serve in tall glasses with a straw and a sprig of fresh mint.
- A wondeful simple way to enjoy fresh fruit.
