- Get enough sleep. Regulate your sleeping patterns, so you’re getting to bed and waking up at roughly the same time every day, having had seven to eight hours of good-quality sleep.
- Eat protein. Keep winter munchies at bay by upping your protein levels. Your appetite will be kept in check and your metabolism will be on fire.
- Get outside. The days may be shorter, but there is still light out there, so make the most of it by wrapping up and walking where you can.
- Change your routine. Your workouts should fit into the new daylight schedule; if that means trying something different, all the better, as it will kick-start your motivation.
- Love winter. If you tell yourself you have the winter blues, that’s what you’ll get. Build affirmations like, ‘I’m bursting with energy’, and repeat them to yourself as you get ready in the morning – you’ll feel the positive effects all day.
